Common Questions
What does it cost to add trivia to my venue?
Trivia by Troy doesn't charge venues an upfront fee. We work out arrangements
based on the specific night and venue. Get in touch and we'll talk through the details.
How often does trivia run?
Most venues run weekly on a consistent night — same bar, same time, every week.
That regularity is what builds loyal crowds and competitive leaderboards.
Who writes the questions?
Troy writes everything. Every round, every category, every bonus question.
Hosts run the show on the night but the content always comes from Troy —
that's what keeps quality consistent across all venues.
Do hosts need trivia experience?
Not necessarily. More important: comfort with a microphone, ability to
keep a room's energy up, and a friendly, fair personality. If you've hosted
events, done improv, bartended, or taught — those skills all translate well.
Can players come solo, or do they need a team?
Either works. Teams can be up to six people, but solo players are always welcome —
hosts will help find you a spot. No registration, no reservation, just show up.
